SilicaTech is an Oslo based company with a vision to make carbon capture possible for most kinds of gasses containing CO2.

SilicaTech was founded in 2001, where the purpose behind the establishment was based on development of new cost-effective processes within mining, metallurgical and chemical processing industries in Norway.

The development of various new types of processes, combined with a rising demand for fighting climate change, was the initial basis for the development of the current cost effective SilicaTech AC Carbon Capture Technology.

The potential market for carbon capture based on point emissions larger than 0,1 million tons CO2 per year is huge. According to the IPCC Special Report on the matter, the global emissions from power plants and industry at this yearly level, is estimated to be about 13 Giga tons CO2 per year, whereof around 75% relates to emissions from power plants.

Related to future carbon capture facility sales, it is reasonable to expect a fair market share for the novel AC carbon capture technology.
